Use shipping containers as exhibition stands

The show season is just around the corner, why not use shipping containers as exhibition stands.

For companies that market their goods at multiple exhibitions, the extra cost of getting external companies to provide stands at each event can add up – shipping containers are the perfect solution.

They look impressive – a decking area outside the container can be created, as well as lighting and seating inside the container. Also, all of your company’s promotional material can be hung both inside and outside the containers.

Being over eight foot high, the roof of the container could be used either as a separate meeting area with a staircase and handrails or as a base for more advertisements.

You will really stand out from the crowd and draw the attentions of the visitors at the shows.

Did you know that hiring containers also comes in useful for site fencing?

Container hire is now frequently being used as fences and site boundaries as unprotected sites can be used for fly tipping.

Ring-fencing sites with containers is much more secure and substantial than the traditional fencing.

Construction sites often have expensive plant and materials stored that need to be protected, site boundaries also need to be clearly marked out.

A helpful advantage when using containers as fences is that they can also be used to store valuables at the same time – offering extra security. For more information on container sizes click here.

Refrigerated container hire can be used to store goods

Container hire can be used for many different reasons, one of which is to bulk store perishable items.

A refrigerated container is usually a standard shipping container – this will include the original aluminium t-floor, doors and machinery.

There are optional extras that can be fitted or may have already been fitted as part of a conversion or modification can include things like insulated butchers style cold room doors – these doors are easier to open and close and often have the option of an emergency release on the inside. Floors can also vary from the original t-bar flooring to aluminium chequer plate and resins.

Refrigerated containers offer a functional, weatherproof and extremely versatile way of storing your goods.

Why shelves are a good idea with container hire

When using container hire for storage, having racking or shelving fitted can make a huge difference in its suitability.

With large spaces, it can be tempting to just pile everything in, but you should bear in mind that it all will have to come out at some point.

This is why it is helpful to have everything stored neatly on shelves, making for easy access to your goods in the future.

Storage Containers provide the perfect innovative architecture

It seems that many are now realising the potential of shipping container architecture, with more being used across the world.

Some recent projects include a 5-star safari lodge in Africa, as well as a mobile pop up bar – highlighting just what can be done with containers nowadays.

Storage containers can provide a cost effective, secure, strong and potentially mobile structure that can be altered to suit a number of applications.

Almost all of the amenities of a conventional building can be applied to container hire including electrics, plumbing, as well as floor and wall coverings.

The main benefit of container architecture is that it can be transported easily, making it perfect for exhibition display that needs to be taken from site to site.

Homeowners benefit from storage containers during housing market low

During the housing slump, homeowners are using storage containers to save money.

Container hire is picking up while the housing market remains somewhat stagnant, using the containers as storage while prices pick up.

Homeowners are selling their houses and cashing in by downsizing. They are then putting their possessions into self storage before letting out their houses and renting smaller properties themselves until the market improves.
